Remembering God's Faithfulness
Last week was sort of a rough week for me. I had been hurt and wounded by two people that I dearly loved and cared about. On top of the hurt and sadness that pierced my already broken heart, I felt betrayed and angry.

Forgiveness
Though both statements ring true, forgiveness isn't always the easiest to do. Many of us, Christians, still harbor unforgiveness.

Holy Spirit Baptism
This is a follow up to my last post Water Baptism. First just let me say that I am not a Theologian, nor am I here to discuss and debate the baptism, filling, or other manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

Water Baptism
My mother was always encouraging my siblings and I to keep the faith. She would always remind us who God was, and what God did for us by giving us His one and only son.

Why am I so angry?
I wrote a post about Anger last year in March, but this time I am taking a different approach. A few months ago, God showed me the root/cause of my anger, and it was extremely liberating!

Who is Jesus?
Getting to know Jesus can be both confusing and overwhelming for a new believer, because there are so many different viewpoints about him out there.

God's perfect timing
When my husband and I first got married, football and friends were his life, and in the beginning, I enjoyed watching him practice and play football.

Change us, Lord
Seeking God as a means to fix our marriage and other relationships sounds like a good thing, right? We should be all asking for God’s help in every aspects of our lives.

Ask, Seek, Knock
I've heard many people use the phrase ask and you shall receive. Did you know that phrase is in the Bible? I wonder if those who use this phrase freely also realize that it's in the Bible.

The Apple of His Eye
God has used a variety of methods to speak to me. The main method is the Bible, which is the first place I will go to seek Him. There I find messages of love, correction, encouragement, hope, and so much more.

Jesus is the light
Before I had children, I used to be extremely afraid of the dark; I would have to sleep with the lights on or with a nightlight.

God is in total control
It's quite unsettling to know how many people are medicated for anxiety, depression, and stress. Medication can be helpful, but it isn't a cure; it only treats the symptoms.

Spiritual Growth (Part 3 of 3)
When you were a child, did you ever wish that you were older? Maybe you didn't want to go to school anymore, but wanted to work so that you would have money.

Spiritual Growth (Part 2 of 3)
In the last post (Part 1), we talked about how new believers ought to desire and feed on the Word of God so that they grow in their faith and walk with Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Growth (Part 1 of 3)
Spiritual growth can be likened to a person's actual physical growth. Once you've accepted Christ, you've been given new life.

Store your treasures in Heaven
When I heard of the travesty and devastation Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma left (and the Hurricanes thereafter), my heart went out to all those who had been affected.

Created by God and for God
Have you ever been in a place or environment where you felt like you just didn't belong, or that you didn't exactly fit in?

No regrets
Here and there, I will hear stories of people who have backslid or walked away from the faith. I have always grappled with this concept, and try to think of all the reasons why a person would do so.

Stop and smell the flowers
I have developed horrible allergies within the last few years. I've never noticed them before until about three years or so ago; and lately, they have been more and more troublesome…

Protect your temple
If you Google the word temple, this definition will come up: a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence.
